We put so much energy into having a happy life, but often we feel we are not getting any closer to our goal of being truly happy. We should know, happiness is something we can train in. We don’t have to chase happiness in external things. Rather we can understand that happiness comes from our own mind, our inner peace.
The key is to learn to identify those states of mind that produce unhappiness and tightness and instead to replace them gradually with flexible, skillful, peaceful minds such as acceptance, love, confidence, and wisdom. In this series we will explore training in happiness in situations we are all familiar with, such as work, family and relationships, and also just being with ourselves.
We will learn simple and effective meditations to cultivate happiness and to connect to our potential for lasting happiness and freedom. The inner confidence that arises from this approach enables us to use even our difficulties as the means to grow spiritually and to progress towards a lasting experience of happiness, known as liberation.

ABOUT THE CLASS:
You do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or benefit from the techniques taught. Each class consists of guided meditations and clear explanations, as well as an opportunity to ask questions. Although it is beneficial to attend the entire series, you may drop in at any time. Classes are held weekly. Suitable for all levels of experience.
