How Karma Colors Our Life | Nov 14

How Karma Colors Our Life

Understanding Karma

November 14, 2020 | 10:30am-12pm & 1-2:30pm

The Course link is available for 7 days after it goes live

with Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Wangpo

The word karma is often used to ‘justify’ an unfortunate situation. This may lead to the belief that karma is an outside force placed upon those who have done wrong. The truth is, karma is simply our own experience of actions that we ourselves have created in the past, good or bad.
Since we do not yet understand the law of karma, it often seems to us that our happiness and our suffering is created by external conditions—our environment, the government, family and friends, and so forth. Buddha’s teachings on karma explain the relationship between our mind, our actions, and our experiences.
By understanding how karma functions, we can learn to transform and even avoid difficulty and begin to create favorable and joyful experiences. By understanding and believing in karma, we prevent future suffering and establish a foundation for our future happiness.

Come and enjoy a teaching, meditation and discussion and learn how to take control of your life by understanding karma.

This course is an excellent prelude to the Empowerment of Vajrasattva hosted by KMC Texas in Dallas, and to our December 4 Public Talk on Freedom From Negativity: The Buddhist Practice of Purification, and December 5 Vajrasattva Purification Guided Retreat.
