New Year’s Eve Green Tara | Dec 31

media7-green-tara-1
Bring in the New Year with Buddha Tara.

During this retreat, we chant Tara prayers beginning 7pm on New Year’s Eve and 4 hours between retreat sessions. Each session lasts about an hour. This is a perfect way to enjoy the start of a new year. Each session brings us closer to the female Buddha Tara and gives strength to our meditation practices throughout the coming year.

Many people in Kadampa Centers throughout the World will be doing these retreat sessions at the same time, so creating the cause for peace and harmony throughout the World. Practitioners over thousands of years have created great benefit by regularly drawing close and requesting the swift wisdom and compassion of Buddha Tara for themselves and for others.

Who Should Attend?

Everyone is welcome, complete beginner and experienced practitioner alike.

Do I have to do all the sessions?

Do as many sessions and whichever sessions as you like.  Do all the sessions and make an extraordinary beginning to the year. The music and text are provided.

What happens between sessions?

You can rest; relax; read Dharma texts from our library; enjoy conversations with other practitioners; enjoy snacks and refreshments and after midnight you can nap between sessions in the meditation room. (bring your sleeping bag or blankets).
