Dear Friends of Kadampa Meditation Center Austin,
The summer season is upon us again, and it is also the time of year for our annual appeal. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported KMC Austin in any way – from coming to our classes, purchasing an item in our bookstore, making a donation, attending a branch class, or recommending the Center to a friend.
At KMC Austin, class fees cover about 50% of our operating budget which includes rent and all operating expenses, as well as supporting Gen Norden our Resident Teacher with her living expenses, travel to England for teacher training, and other costs. The balance of our expenses are made up by voluntary contributions from those who attend our classes and appreciate what our center offers the community. We need to fill this gap through donations and our goal is to raise $15,000 at this time of year.
We respectfully ask that you consider making a gift to help KMC Austin cover its costs and to help it grow by providing new opportunities for courses throughout Austin. Your gift of $25, $100, $500, $1000 or more makes a significant impact on our ability to keep our Center running and provide meditation classes in our area. Even a small gift will have an impact on the ability of the Center to provide meditation classes. All donations are tax-deductible as we are a registered 501(c)3.

As you know, KMC Austin is part of a time-honored tradition that has made Buddha’s teachings and meditation practices available to people throughout the world. Through our training in meditation and putting the teachings into practice, we develop inner peace, compassion, and wisdom. In this way, we have the precious opportunity to improve the quality of our lives and the lives of those around us.
Here’s to a great summer!
