Moving Chittamani: How may I help?
Workday Saturday starting at 8:00 am
Basic information you may like to know.
We have begun the process of accepting bids for tearing out a small wall, replacing the furnace, replacing a door,
installing a door and installing a temporary small wall. We are looking at the cost of wood flooring in the three small rooms.
We will find out the cost and weigh the cost with our feasibility to do so.
We do need donations to help fund our improvements.
After we have clarified our plan we will let you know more specifically what jobs will need to be done.
Right now we need help cleaning out the building to purify it. We also need the yard cleaned up and overgrowth trimmed back. Please check with
Gen Inchug or Tsodag or a designated person in charge before you do anything. Thank you for your help and patience!

Becoming a Benefactor of Your Dharma Center
Chittamani Buddhist Center exists to benefit residents of Austin and the surrounding area.
It is a non-profit organization which relies solely upon donations. Becoming a benefactor of the
Center is a practical way to ensure that the Center thrives and can serve the community. We also
encourage tithing memberships which offer tax relief and provide a solid financial base for the
Center to grow and thrive.
Volunteers
We depend entirely on volunteers to run and maintain our Center. We encourage our members
to volunteer in order to accumulate merit and make swift progress along the path to enlightenment.
Working for a Dharma Center with a pure intention is to work for all sentient human beings because
the sole purpose of a Dharma Center is to help all living beings escape from samsara—the endless
cycle of birth, death and rebirth…life after life.
Vision for the Future
In 1994, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, our Spiritual Guide and Director, founded the International
Temples project, a vision of Kadampa Buddhist Temples in every major city in the world dedicated to world peace.
Austin, located in the center of the U.S.—easy to access and surrounded by beautiful hill country—is
an ideal place for a Kadampa Temple.
