Becoming a Benefactor of Your Dharma Center
Chittamani Kadampa Buddhist Center exists to benefit residents of Austin and the surrounding area. Chittamani is a non-profit organization which relies solely upon donations. Becoming a benefactor of the Center is a practical way to ensure that the Center thrives and can serve the community. We also encourage tithing memberships which offer tax relief and provide a solid financial base for the Center to grow and thrive.
Vision for the Future
In 1994, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, our Spiritual Guide and Director, founded the International Temples project, a vision of Kadampa Buddhist Temples in every major city in the world dedicated to world peace. Austin, located in the center of the U.S.—easy to access and surrounded by beautiful hill country—is an ideal place for a Kadampa Temple.
